
Kevin Carr

Kevin is the Principal Solicitor and founder of Carr Legal Group, with nearly two decades of experience in legal practice. He holds a Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management and Legal Studies), a Bachelor of Laws, and a Graduate Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution Practice.
Before establishing Carr Legal Group, Kevin built a diverse professional background across law enforcement, government and regulatory roles. He began his career with the NSW Police Force in 1989 before moving into the corporate regulatory sector with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, where he worked as a Senior Investigator within the Enforcement Directorate. Kevin later relocated to Brisbane and held several commercial legal roles, including positions with Primary Industries and Fisheries and TransLink. He also worked as a Senior Legal Officer with the Queensland Crime and Corruption Commission investigating public sector corruption.
Kevin later returned to Tamworth to establish Carr Legal Group, where he now advises and represents clients in family law, commercial and property matters. He also acts as an Independent Children’s Lawyer and provides guidance and mentorship to members of the firm’s legal team.
Kevin particularly enjoys the variety of work undertaken at the firm and is especially passionate about his work as an Independent Children’s Lawyer, advocating for the best interests of children in family law proceedings.
Born in Sydney and raised in Tamworth, Kevin has strong ties to the local community. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and motorbike riding. He recently completed a motorbike tour through the United States.
